Senior Java Developer - Smart Order Routing (SOR) - Equities Electronic Trading

About the role

Lead the design, development, and optimization of Citi’s low-latency Smart Order Router, including routing logic, venue analysis, performance, and system stability. Collaborate with product, quantitative research, and technology teams to deliver trading capabilities, improve development and deployment processes, and maintain monitoring, reconciliation, and recovery solutions. Requires expert Core Java knowledge, including JVM internals, concurrency, garbage collection, and memory management in low-latency systems, plus proven experience developing automated trading systems and Smart Order Routers. Candidates should understand financial market protocols such as FIX, microservices and distributed systems, and modern testing, Agile, and CI/CD practices; a bachelor’s degree is listed.
