About the role
Build and architect Alpaca’s algorithmic trading platform, delivering high-quality, high-performance brokerage services. Write code across the stack and make system design decisions involving low-latency hardware, concurrency, distributed architecture, availability, and data modeling. Requires prior software engineering experience with trading or exchange systems, such as OMS, EMS, exchanges, market making, algorithmic trading, or quantitative trading. Candidates should have strong engineering skills, experience with low-latency and high-throughput systems, messaging, distributed systems, databases, concurrency, and OMS/RMS development; lead experience is preferred.
