About the role
Build and architect Alpaca’s algorithmic trading platform, delivering high-quality, high-performance brokerage services. Write substantial amounts of code and make critical design decisions across frontend and backend systems, databases, distributed infrastructure, and concurrency. The role requires prior software engineering experience with trading or exchange systems, such as OMS, EMS, exchanges, market making, or algorithmic or quantitative trading. Candidates should have strong engineering and system design skills, experience with low-latency and high-throughput systems, messaging, distributed systems, databases, concurrency, and OMS/RMS implementation; lead experience is preferred.
